COUNCILMEMBER-AT-LARGE DEREK GREEN SHARES SUPPORT OF FREE RECORD CLEARING CLINIC FOR PHILADELPHIANS

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: The Philadelphia CannaBusiness Association (PCBA) is happy to announce that Councilmember Derek Green will be supporting our upcoming, FREE, record clearing clinic which will take place at the First Presbyterian Church, 35 W Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144 on August 27 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M

PCBA is a nonprofit in Philadelphia advocating for equitable cannabis legalization and addressing the harm caused by the war on drugs through its R. E. P. A. I. R. call to action. R.E.P.A.I.R calls for Reparations, Equity, Policy, Abolition, Inclusion, and Reinvestment.

“It’s time to say goodbye, once and for all, to the days of unjust criminal prosecution and incarceration brought about by decades-long public misinformation campaigns and predatory policies surrounding cannabis. We have already seen the long-term benefits, both physical and economical, of cannabis on a large scale – with Pennsylvania included as one of several states that have legalized recreational and/or medical cannabis,” said Councilmember Green. “We must continue that momentum by ensuring that those who have been harmed by biased prosecutorial and systemic practices related to cannabis (predominantly in Black and Brown communities) receive an equitable opportunity for a fresh start. I’m proud to support the work of PCBA and its partners in this endeavor to seek R.E.P.A.I.R.’s for our most disenfranchised neighborhoods.”

In partnership with the Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (PLSE), PCBA invites all Philadelphians to a day of community, free legal services surrounding record clearing, medical marijuana card sign-ups, food, drinks, and more!
